HOW TO REACH TO
AGRITURISMO LE COSTE
Exit Autostrada at Orvieto turn left and go in the direction of Todi and Perugia.
After 4,8 Km.
turn right in the direction of Castiglione in Teverina-
After 4 km. there is a cross-road; continue straight through and after 200 metres. turn left toward Sermugnano, and watch for signs of LE COSTE.
SOURROUNDING AREA
A five minute walk from the Agriturismo there is the small town of Sermugnano: Etruscan in origin, it owes its name to knight “Ser Mugnen” who was entrusted with the task of building the castle to protect the surrounding lands. The same medieval castle walls still encircle the town today.
We strongly advise a visit to the small town of Civita di Bagnoregio, only 5 Km. away - even by-bike or on foot - through the quiet, gentle green countryside . |

Civita situated atop a rock eroded in time, surrounded by the spectacular "Valle dei Calanchi" one truly gets the impression that time has indeed stood still for centuries.
A few Km. further on there is the volcanic Bolsena Lake , central Italy's largest and it offers an ideal place for swimming together with a variety of other sporting activities. Further south, Viterbo , the “ancient city of the popes” merits a visit.
Meanwhile 12 Km. away the beautiful Orvieto spread out on top of the volcanic “tufo” rock is a world famous historical town, and is well worth a visit. The town's Duomo, known as “giglio d'oro”, is a unique example of Gothic architecture.

Moving further inland into the ever green region of Umbria, skirting the artificial lake of Corbara on arrives at the most interesting well known historic town of Todi;
situated on the hill overlookig he valley of the Tiber river.
